A post about a fully contactless Airbnb stay in a Noida apartment society has sparked debate online about how safe such entry systems are in gated residential areas.

A social media post has started a debate about how safe residential societies are, after a user shared his experience of staying at an Airbnb in Noida that had a fully contactless entry system. The user said the entire check-in process happened online, with no face-to-face verification at the property.

While some people saw this as a smooth and modern way to manage short stays, others raised concerns about security in gated apartments. The discussion quickly grew online, with users divided on whether such systems are safe or risky for residents.

User Questions Safety Of Contactless Airbnb Entry System

The post was shared by X (formerly Twitter) user @ShivrattanDhil1, who explained how his team booked an Airbnb in a Noida apartment society while attending a race event. He described how the whole process was handled without any direct contact with the property owner or staff.

He wrote, “Isn’t this a serious safety concern for apartment residents? Went to Noida for our race event, and our mechanic team booked an Airbnb in an apartment society. The entire process was completely contactless they booked online, received the flat address and a locker code at the gate to collect the keys, and at checkout simply dropped the keys back without meeting a single person.”

“Just an Aadhaar card upload and that’s it. Honestly, it felt worrying seeing how easily anyone could get access inside a residential society without the owner or even residents knowing who’s coming in.

Maybe this model works in some foreign countries, but blindly trusting such systems here feels risky. What if someone books using fake or incorrect Aadhaar details? They still get full access to the society and flat without any proper physical verification.”

“Felt really bad for families living in such apartments security shouldn’t become this casual!,” he mentioned towards the end.

The man also raised doubts about how easily someone could enter a gated community if identity checks are only done online. They questioned whether Aadhaar upload alone is enough to confirm who is actually staying inside a property.
