Noida International Airport is set for its grand March 28 inauguration, with final preparations underway and the first look showcasing its near-complete infrastructure.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the much-awaited Noida International Airport at Jewar in Greater Noida on March 28. The date was earlier indicated by Yogi Adityanath during an event in Lucknow on March 18, where he noted that the Prime Minister had been invited to formally open the greenfield airport project. The launch of Jewar airport is expected to ease pressure on Indira Gandhi International Airport, improve connectivity across the NCR, and create new economic opportunities in logistics, real estate, and employment.
Jewar Airport Inauguration Date: When Will Noida International Airport Open?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Jewar airport on March 28, 2026. Located in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar, the airport, once operational, will be India’s largest airport. The International Airport in Jewar will have one runway and an annual passenger handling capacity of 1.20 crore. On average, around 150 flights are expected to operate daily, as per the Uttar Pradesh government.
